Welcome to North Andover Reads 2023!

North Andover Reads is a joint effort of the Stevens Memorial Library and the North Andover School District. Each year, books, programs, exhibits and more are chosen around a particular theme and highlight our R.A.I.S.E. initiative. This year's theme is Food with Family & Friends: Gastronomical Delights.
gas·tro·nom·ic: adjective: gastronomical-- relating to the practice of cooking or eating good food.
This year North Andover Reads celebrates two of our favorite things: food and reading. Everyone has something they enjoy eating and many enjoy reading or listening to books or stories. And, we like to share what we love with our family, friends, and neighbors.
We need your help to create Our North Andover Cookbook by sharing a recipe. Your recipe(s) will be part of our digital cookbook, so it is easy to share with others. Everyone can add a recipe -- children, parents, grandparents, teachers, neighbors, friends.
Please share a recipe for a favorite or special food you like. It can be anything: bread, soup, a dessert, a main dish, a snack.
Is there a story to share with your recipe? For example: Why is this your favorite dish? Did someone special make it for you? Did you have it on special days-- like a birthday, a holiday, at parties? Write a memory of having this dish.

Each recipe added is automatically entered in the Cookbook Drawing. Prizes are gift cards to local restaurants. The drawing ends March 30th.
